How To Make Bulletproof Coffee?

Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof Coffee is a high-fat coffee drink that is meant to replace breakfast for someone who is following a keto diet or who practices intermittent fasting. The benefits of bulletproof coffee include helping you to burn fat, boosting your cognitive function, and improving insulin resistance. If you have difficulty sticking to an intermittent fasting routine, bulletproof coffee can help a lot of the benefits of intermittent fasting stem from the fact that you are keeping insulin low because bulletproof coffee is a fat-based drink, it does not stimulate insulin, so you still gain a lot of the benefits of fasting. But it makes it easier to stick to and it kills cravings.

How To Make Bulletproof Coffee?

Bulletproof coffee has become very popular in recent years especially for people who follow a keto diet as we discussed at the start. Bulletproof coffee is meant to replace breakfast, you will have this in the morning and then you won't have your first true meal until later in the day, usually around 12 to 1 pm.

Ingredients

·      The classic bulletproof coffee recipe has three ingredients, one cup of black coffee, and one teaspoon to one tablespoon of MCT oil (medium-chain triglyceride), and one to two tablespoons of butter or ghee.

·      Take those three ingredients, put them in a blender, and blend them up on high until creamy and emulsified.

·      Enjoy! Pour yourself a warm cup of this nourishing caffeinated beverage.

If you don't have a blender or you don't have a glass blender it's not really great to have hot liquids in a plastic blender you can use a hand blender as well. Blend for a few seconds and there you go, and there you have bulletproof coffee.

On top of a dark fog, the result should resemble an oil slick. Because of the oil, it has a distinct nutty flavor. This enigmatic experimentation slides down easily, lubricating your internal organs. You'll be startled out of your slumber and startled awake. Bulletproof coffee can be considered a breakfast beverage that is sure to appeal to many caffeine addicts. If you can't stand the scent of coconut oil, mix it with your favorite essential oil.

Bulletproof Coffee

Another helpful option is to get a single-cup hand blender. When the coffee is ready, pour it in and give it a makeover. The oil and coffee combine to create a creamy froth on top that is truly delectable.

But there have been a lot of variations of the recipe. MCT oil is definitely a staple for bulletproof coffee, which is a type of fat that is metabolized differently. Then other types of fat help your body to produce ketones and give you a quick boost of energy.

 ·       MCT oil is usually made from coconut oil, so you can replace it with coconut oil. If you choose but MCT oil is just a more concentrated source.

 ·      The other staple ingredients in bulletproof coffee are butter and ghee butter and ghee contains some MCTs as well.

 ·      Some other bulletproof coffee ingredients you can add in or substitute include cacao butter, coconut oil, collagen powder or gelatin, or egg yolk. All of these ingredients except for collagen powder and gelatin contain mainly fat almost 100 and the reason this is important is that when you are intermittent fasting, a lot of the benefits come from keeping your insulin low.

 ·      Fat has next to no impact on your insulin levels but protein has a moderate effect and carbohydrates have a significant one. So by drinking this high-fat drink in the morning, you can get a lot of the benefits of fasting while killing cravings and not being hungry.

Also if you don't drink coffee at all, you can use tea, that's another option. If you are lactose or casein intolerant, you can use coconut oil or cacao butter instead of butter or ghee. Adding in the collagen powder as we discussed earlier, it does contain protein, it's entirely protein and that does bump insulin up a little bit. So if you are trying to get the insulin lowering effects when having a bulletproof coffee, then you could skip the collagen powder. But if you're not too concerned about that, then adding the collagen powder in is a great way to improve the health of your hair, skin, and nails.

Is Bulletproof Coffee Healthful Or Beneficial To Your Health?

This is dependent on a larger question — if you are normally comfortable with caffeine consumption, then the answer is most likely yes! Although the fat in bulletproof coffee can slow the way the body processes caffeine, if you're highly sensitive to its effects, adding fat to your coffee may not make a significant difference. If you're not a fan of caffeine but want to give it a shot, there's always decaf! Alternatively, you may "bulletproof" or "boost" a matcha latte – or any other sort of tea. However, if you start with high-quality coffee beans and high-quality fats, you'll be making bulletproof coffee correctly, and it may be a healthy addition to your diet. Of course, anything in excess is bad, so one bulletproof coffee per day is a good amount.

The credit for presenting this bulletproof coffee to the Western world goes to Dave Osprey, a self-described biohacker. However, Indians have had their version of it for millennia. Buddhist monks have been drinking tea spiked with yak butter since the dawn of time.
