8 Walk And Its Amazing Benefits |
Any health care specialist will tell you that "walking" is one of the best exercises for keeping our physical and mental health in good shape. However, many of us have an excuse to avoid walking because of our hectic daily routines. However, on weekends, we attempt to compensate by going for a long walk or doing some other form of exercise. Although it may appear to be a justification from our perspective, the body nevertheless requires regular activity to maintain optimal health.
So, What's The Other Option?
The good news is that there is an alternative option based on our ancient practice of "8 Walk," which was created by Tamil Siddhas. "Infinity walking" is how the Western world refers to it.
When And How To Practice this 8 Walk?
• 8-Walk is similar to normal walking, except you'll be walking in an 8-shaped pattern. The 8 shape is created by combining two circles, each about 6 feet in diameter, in a "South-North" direction.
• You can make this 8 Shape in an open area such as a garden, balcony, terrace, or a car parking lot.
In the worst-case scenario, you can do it in your living room/hall by arranging two chairs at a 3-foot distance apart and stepping in an 8 shape between them.
• 8-walk should be practiced on an empty stomach in the morning or evening, especially between 5 and 6 a.m. or pm.
• When walking, do not wear shoes. Only then your body will be able to absorb the magnetic field of the earth and focus on the 8 shape while doing so.
• Walk for 15 minutes from south to north in a clockwise fashion, then 15 minutes from north to south in an anticlockwise direction for a total of 30 minutes.
• A daily routine of 30 minutes is sufficient, but you can expand the time based on your comfort.
• Take calm, deep breaths while you walk.
• As you walk, sway your hands in a pleasing manner.
• Don't talk on the phone or fidget with it while walking. Focus on the shape and how you walk.
• While walking, you can practice breathing or chant the OM Mantra.
• While walking, you can also use Yoga mudra (like Prana Mudra)
